On the 13th of February the Zambian based contingent of the WorkinMining project held training at Life-song Lodge for the branch chairmen and branch secretaries from Kitwe, Luanshya and Mufulira based branches of the Mineworkers Union of Zambia. James Musonda provided instruction on mine privatisation, the history of the trade unions and guided role plays on daily trade union life. Thomas McNamara facilitated lessons on theories of trade unionism and wage negotiations. Emma Lochery gave a presentation on lacunas in Zambian labour law. The event was opened by MUZ President Joseph Chewe.
